But presently India is facing huge deficit of fodder and it is projected that in future also the deficit of fodder will continue. Under these circumstances this book is an attempt to sketch the fodder subsistence in Tripura from various dimensions. The book is mainly focused on production and marketing of fodder in Tripura. Keeping all these in view, the purposes of the book are to examine the present status of fodder production systems, costof production of green fodder, constraints faced by the producer of fodder, marketing channels, marketing efficiency and margin, role of women in marketing of fodder etc. in Tripura.
