Book entitled on 'Production, Marketing and Price Spread of Vegetable Crops. The work has been based on primary and secondary data, the book outcome of research conducted in Mysore district of southern Karnataka in particular, India. A brief description is given here to comprehend the book. Basically, the literature survey gave enough confidence and scope for further research on the economics of vegetable production and marketing. Secondly, there is an ample scope for examining the relationship between agrarian class and vegetable economy. Thirdly, there is a scope for analyzing the producers' share in the consumers' expenses on the spending of vegetables. This is often emphasized among the academicians in India as the agricultural producers as well as the middlemen and consumers have continuously exploited by the touts, In India, most of the studies have focused on examining the production relationship, economics of farming mainly with reference to cereals. Nevertheless, literature on the production, marketing and price spread in vegetables is scanty.In this context there is an urgent need to focus various issues on production and marketing of vegetable crops more at micro level.
