This study focused on the cultivation trial and phenotypic characterization of three varieties (Alpha 60-65, Red annual and Orange strong) of Calendula officinalis in Agboville (Côte d'Ivoire). This species has many virtues and is mainly used in the medicinal, culinary and cosmetic fields.) It is of remarkable economic and social importance. This study was motivated by the concern to diversify the plant species cultivated in Côte d'Ivoire while introducing species with high socio-economic potential. The objective was to experiment with the cultivation of Calendula officinalis in Côte d'Ivoire and to characterise the three varieties studied from a phenotypic point of view in order to differentiate them. The performance of the three varieties was evaluated based on statistical analysis of quantitative parameters such as: germination, budding and flowering times; number of branches and flower buds; plant height; stem and flower diameter; leaf length and width; fresh and dry weight of flowers.
