Chapter 5 describes in the use of molecular techniques for describing the genetic diversity and population structure of Eritrean pepper. It provides practical knowledge about the use and interpretation of genetic diversity parameters and grouping methods using both neighbor joining and the model based method, STRUCTURE. Brhan Khiar Saleh is lecturer at Hamelmalo Agricultural College. Had BSc. degree in horticulture from Cairo University (1991), MSc. Horticulture, University of Reading (2001) and PhD Biotechnology, Institute of Biotechnology Research, JKUAT (2016). Worked in the National Agricultural Research Institute, Ministry of Agriculture (1993-2005).
