Sie hat einen Abschluss in Pädagogik von der Staatlichen Universität von Minas Gerais und einen Master in Pädagogik von der Päpstlichen Katholischen Universität von Minas Gerais. Sie arbeitete als Koordinatorin des Pädagogik-Kurses an der UNIPAC, unterrichtete in fünf Grundkursen am Institut Anísio Teixeira und ist derzeit als pädagogische Beraterin für Hochschuleinrichtungen tätig.
