Also, teachers' in-service training needs should be programmed using the professional teaching standards. Teachers' should know how to design their ongoing professional development. Being aware of these needs, I decided to propose the professional teaching standards as a national framework in North Cyprus. Using mixed methods required me using both qualitative and quantitative research strategies. Rasch model analysis for analysing the quantitative data was applied for having more valid and reliable results.
