And all thought there is no doubt that the area of ECEC has undergone tremendous changes the past decades, there are still many challenges ahead, and one of them is the professionalism of preschool teachers. In the light of a Swedish context this book investigates the role of professionalism in regard to education and competence in being or becoming a preschool teacher. Further, how the development of a professional preschool teacher role is affected by how it is perceived by its society and the emerging influential factors that this have, such as salary, environment, child/adult ratio and work description. This research is a supplement to support formerand future research in this matter.
Autorenporträt
Trude works as a pedagogical leader in a Norwegian preschool. She has a Bachelor degree and an international Master degree in Early Childhood Education and Care. Trude's passion in this field is the preschool teacher profession and advocates for the importance of professionalism in preschools in Norway.
