The village of Mattiro Bombang is one of the villages in the archipelago of Pangkep. Their lives generally are poor fishermen who are helpless. The fishermen in this village are dominated by traditional fishermen and fishermen laborers. For fishermen laborers sometimes receive unfair treatment in the profit-sharing system. Considered only beneficial to 'juragan'. At the same time,the 'bidak' fishermen did not receive any compensation from the owner of the ship. Under these circumstances 'bidak' can not do much because the level of dependence on the 'juragan' is high. And the 'bidak' accept these facts because bound by the employment contracts to their 'juragan'. Thus,the role of fishermen's wife is demanded finding additional income to meet the needs of the household economy. Their children also help to earn money by 'menggorek' at the time of weighing fish at TPI. In a day, usually the children earn income Rp 3.000-Rp 10.000. Their money partially handed over to the parents and partly used for snacking and saving for school purposes.
