Dr. Jaqueline Shachter Weiss has taught children's literature at Temple University and Lincoln University. She is the author of Young Brer Rabbit and Other Trickster Tales from the Americas-with Eartha Kitt's audiocassette narration-(Stemmer House, 1985), a Notable Children's Book in the Field of Social Studies.
