The objectives were to determine the profitability (through the Benefit/Cost Ratio) and the physical, economic and social productivity and efficiency of water used in the production of watermelon (Citrillus lanatus L.) drip-irrigated crop in La Comarca Lagunera, Mexico, and to contrast it against the corresponding indicators of drip-irrigated industrial grapevine (Vitis vinifera) in the same agricultural region.Comarca Lagunera, Mexico and contrast it against the corresponding indicators of the industrial drip-irrigated grapevine (Vitis vinifera) crop of the same agricultural region, through indicators of productivity (P) and physical (F), economic (E) and social (S) efficiency (E) of the water (A) used in the production. In the methodology, the mathematical models of Rios et al (2015 a and 2018) were used, which allowed estimating the EFA, PFA, EEA, PEA, ESA and PSA. The results show that the RB/C was equal to 1.54, 46.92 percentage units above the Certificados de la Tesorería de la Federación (CETES) but 17 percentage units belowof La Laguna's industrial grape.
