An attempt has been made to synthesize all the available exploration data and re-interpret, determine controls, guides and locales of Sindesar Khurd mineralisation in order to suggest a model for searching new massive rich ore bodies in Rajpura-Dariba belt. Thus aeromagnetic exploration guides such as identification of greenstone belts with mafic volcanic phases, recognition of alteration zones and fault zones were conceived as tools for prognosticating new ore site in the study area. In the margins of greenstone belts with thick extensive volcanism, massive sulphides have been reported to be located with pyroclastics. During tectonic activity by faulting favourable ground like geofracture / shear zone is prepared in favourable host rocks to receive ore. Ore fluids will permeate through fractured and faulted rocks to favourable loci and favourable host rock, under suitable chemical environment like sudden change of oxidation state which favours the deposition of their ore fluid contents. Redeposited ores are associated with faulting and kienematic intrusives which act as heat source to drive ore bearing fluids. Granite in recent drill cores could have generated hydrothermal fluids.
