This book is based on the master's thesis of the first author, MSc. Lisvette Cruz Camacho, based on a research related to the real communicative needs of the professionals of the Faculty of Health Technology of the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara, Cuba. Consequently, a program was designed for the postgraduate course in basic English aimed at strengthening the communicative skills of these teachers. This program was elaborated based on the theoretical references, the results obtained from the diagnosis of needs and potentialities of the students, and the indicators of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which were adapted to the context of the research.
