This study sought to research and point out the reflexes of the stoppage of the crime prevention policy in the execution of the Fica Vivo! Program, from the point of view of its actors. It was also aimed to understand how the discontinuity of this public policy affects the legitimacy in front of the public served and in front of the communities in which it develops. To this end, semi-structured interviews were carried out with social analysts, social managers, officers and police officers from the Special Group for Policing in Risk Areas who work in three different Crime Prevention Centers in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte or in their territories. In addition, three professionals from strategic positions associated with the program were interviewed, namely: Methodological Supervisor, Director of Social Protection for Youth and Undersecretary of Social Crime Prevention Policies.
