This book examines the development contribution of the Ethiopian Diaspora to the development of their homeland. The book's primary focus draws upon the experiences of Ethiopian-born diaspora members, or 'transnationals', who live in the United Kingdom or have re-settled in Ethiopia having lived in Europe or North America for a prolonged period. Bringing together literature sources and primary research data, the study aims to pinpoint the motivating, facilitating and hindering factors to the Ethiopian Diaspora's development efforts - factors which may serve for incorporation into structured development programmes and policy planning.
