The major aim of the current study is to explore the project management skills that affect project performance in the non-governmental organizations in Hargeisa. Firstly, the study sought to describe the human resource management skills in project performance. Secondly, the study will investigate the effect of risk management skills on project performance. Lastly, it will establish the influence of leadership skills on project performance. Furthermore, a descriptive research design was used and questioners were carried out. The target population of the study was 4 projects that have 30 respondents of the Save the Children employees. Multiple regressions were used to analyze the information gathered from the target population. Furthermore, the results show that the p-values for human resource management skill is (0.050), leadership skill (0.021) which are significant and risk management skill (0.717) which is not significant predictor of project performance since the p-value is greater than .05. Then the study has concluded that project management skills have significant effect on project performance. And it's recommended to improve the project management skills.
