Arushi Aggarwal is the founder of Unknown16, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the social and gender gap in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Unknown 16 is focused on encouraging students to undertake a project that works to solve a social issue by applying the knowledge we learn from STEM. She has conducted STEM workshops for 500+ underserved students to empower and build confidence in them. She planned her own hackathon, Code 4 Cause, and is a pioneer in finding tech solutions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to better our world. In her "Coding Supergirls" series, she shows the next generation that they're capable of helping with this too, combining coding with adventure. Throughout, she demonstrates the numerous coding related opportunities open to them and ways to succeed. After many parents and students were confused about her own hackathon, she also aims to clarify the event's important purpose - empowering students in tech.
