An examination of the promises made in both the Bible and the Koran concerning the coming of the Promised One. This assessment sheds light on the principal objections that prevent Christians and Muslims from accepting the Bahai Faith. The book also discusses some of the verses in the Bible and Koran that are the cause of tension between Christians and Muslims. Such verses may appear to differ on the topics of Christs crucifixion, His ascension and the meaning of Sonship. As Promises Fulfilled demonstrates, however, no contradiction exists between the sacred texts

Autorenporträt
Nabil I. Hanna worked for the State Department for almost fifteen years. Prior to this, he was an assistant professor in ethnomusicology. He has traveld and lived in many parts of the world and served at the Baha'i World Center in Haifa, Israel. Having been brought up in Egypt and having experienced firsthand the tensions between Jews, Christians, and Muslims--due to differing interpretations of the Bible and the Qur'an--he was inspired to write this book. He presently lives with his wife Dora Jean in Annapolis, Maryland.
