Natural bamboo fibre-reinforced composite are biogradable, lightweight and non-corrosive. They have good temperature resistant and low environment pollution. These advantages placed the natural fibre composite among the high performance composites. The compounding and the volume fraction of these materials will determine the performance and hence the acceptability to these composites as an engineering materials. This book covers the extraction of fibre strand from bamboo tree, fibre treatment, arrangement of fibre chopped strand into random mat and formation of laminate. The effects of fibre length and volume fraction on the mechanical properties were investigated. The possible modifications to improve the fibre wettability and decrease moisture absorption were considered. The analysis presented in this book should be useful to professionals in manufacturing and building industries. Material engineering students and anymore interested in material science will treasure this book.
