Financial planning is one of the most important aspects for the functioning and support of a company, as it provides roadmaps to direct, coordinate and control its actions towards its objectives. In view of this, the objective of this study is to propose a financial strategy for a micro company, located in the city of Passo Fundo. As methodological procedures, a descriptive research was used, with a quantitative approach. The data collection was based on company documents and the analysis was presented through tables and graphs. In this sense, as significant results, the financial planning showed a new vision for this company, taking into account the existing possibilities, allowing it to see the scenario in which it was inserted, showing the importance of having a financial planning within an organization. Finally, it was concluded that the company did not have any technique suitable for finances, both in the short and long term, much less had a control instrument, which only increased the financial risk. Therefore, a model of financial planning and controls was developed in order to improve its performance.
