The present work focuses its development on investigating the characteristics and strategies aimed at solving the problem of reading comprehension in students of the orientation cycle of Higher Education. This implies an analysis of each of the didactic and pedagogical aspects that are a priority to define the students' reading comprehension problems and to review the programmed activities of the chair in its planning. According to several studies and their own, it is analyzed how first and second year students have little capacity to solve the topics and learning proposals, consequently they do not manage to clearly understand the instructions given in the course, whose importance is highly required for the student to reach and incorporate the contents of the subject. Reading comprehension is an interactive process that occurs at four different levels: literal, inferential, critical and creative. Therefore, the question is how can I perform a 100% effective reading, how to develop the ability to understand a text, how to incorporate the contents of the Economics course efficiently.
