Methodological proposal to develop the Pythagorean Theorem contrasted with the new programs of the Ministry of Public Education of Costa Rica (MEP), a case developed during the 2011 school year at the Pocococí Night School. The main idea of the work was to analyze the proposal developed by the MEP in the new study programs for secondary education-mathematics, specifically in the approach given to the topic of the Pythagorean Theorem at the classroom level, identifying the methodology developed as well as knowing the opinion of teachers and students about the class dynamics when this topic is developed.
