This was the hypothesis addressed in this work,where thirty athletic patients with excised meniscus followed a customized proprioceptive rehabilitation program according to their degree of clinical and quantitative proprioception evaluation.There was a highly significant deficit of knee proprioception after meniscectomy. furthermore,there was significant improvement of proprioception and balance associated with a detectable changes in knee functionality after early and aggressive neuromuscular, proprioceptive and balance exercises enhancement were performed.Thus Proprioception is imperative for the functional stability of the knee and plays a principal role for early and smooth return to sport.
