Shigeto Kawahara is Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics at Rutgers University. Takahito Shinya is Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Otsuma Women's University, Tokyo, Japan. Mariko Sugahara is Associate Professor in the Department of English at Doshisha University, Kyoto, Japan.
