SINGING the PSALMS is the KEY to opening up the EVERLASTING MYSTERIES of GOD AS HE REVEALS HIMSELF. The Psalms are an ancient-modern approach to spiritual education, knowing God, experiencing God's presence, and praising Him through personal and group meditation. Meant and authorized for worshiping the Almighty by the writers themselves, and by Paul the apostle, the canonizers of Scripture agreed, the Psalms were meant to be sung. How can we help correct what is wrong with our world? We need to take the time to enjoy the Psalms, and memorize their truths. Let these lyrics sink down to the roots of your soul. Teach them to your children. Have fun and start deep discussions by singing them together. On a tour of Israel, it is good to tour the mindset of the people in history who lived there. Sing on the bus, or use for deeper meditations of walking tours and prayer walks. Larkins offers us a quintessential western music guide to singing the biblical Psalms.

Autorenporträt
L. L. Larkins is no stranger to cross-cultural forms of worship and praise among Christians. Larkins earned a B.A. in Bible and music composition from Colorado Christian University and served the traditional church, youth and a variety of African groups leading in worship and praise. She now studiously serves the body of Christ by transcribing psalms for singing and reflection, and by mentor-counseling.
