THE BIBLE IS FOR EVERYONE. Now biblical scholarship can be too. Discover how enjoyable your personal study will be with understandable, quality Bible commentary for everyday life. The commentary does a great job of uncovering the underlying structure in a way that encourages the reader to dig deeper into each of the Psalms. I appreciate the way Alden speaks with clarity and authority on matters that enhance a reader's understanding of a psalm without getting entangled in different controversies of an academic study. -Ben Martin, Software Engineer I loved learning the various circumstances under which individual psalms were written and how that deepens the meaning for me in my walk with Christ. I feel that my understanding of the book of Psalms has grown much through the reading of this commentary. This is a great resource for those who, like me, have had no formal education on the Scriptures. In addition to being an ancient "hymnal," the book of Psalms is also poetry, and the commentary writer was quick to explain the different styles of writing and how the Psalms followed certain poetic structure. I also loved knowing that sometimes the original structure of the psalm was different when read in Hebrew. -Shannon Stutzman, Retired Middle School Teacher
