Anthony Elliott is Professor of Social and Political Theory at the University of the West of England, where he is Director of the Centre for Critical Theory. He is the author of numerous books, including The Mourning of John Lennon, Social Theory and Psychoanalysis in Transition: Self and Society from Freud to Kristeva, Subject to Ourselves, and Concepts of the Self. He is the editor of Freud 2000 and coeditor of Psychoanalysis in Contexts.
