Studying a foreign language by children from the first grade is widely practiced in most modern schools, although many experts believe that it makes the school program more intensive and the process of adaptation of the child to school more difficult and long. A comprehensive study of the psychophysiological characteristics of 6-7 year old children learning a foreign language during the period of adaptation to a more complicated school program allowed the author to develop psychophysiological training for first graders. The work empirically proved that the training program helps to reduce adaptation problems and increase the effectiveness of children's learning, including in a foreign language.
