This study investigated the influence of psychosocial variables (Educational qualification and Age) on selected sociocultural practices (Female genital mutilation and women inheritance) among women in Oruk Anam L.G.A Akwa Ibom in Nigeria. The study has 4 purposes and 4 research questions. A sample size of 392 respondents were choosen. Descriptive survey design was used with cluster sampling technique to select respondence for the study. Findings of the study showed that educational qualification significantly influenced the perception of women on female genital mutilation (FGM), it also indicated that age variation significantly influenced the perception of FGM, the result also showed that educational qualification significantly influenced the perception of women on female inheritance, also, age variation significantly influenced the perceptions of women on female inheritance in Oruk Anam. It is therefore concluded that educational qualification and age of women influenced their perceptions toward FGM and women inheritance in Oruk Anam L.G.A Nigeria.
