This paper has been given to me to examine and comment on as part of a knowledge management system in which self-regulation is the instrument for ensuring the quality of publications. In fact, the reader will find four researches adjusted to the quality standards required to carry out a review of the current issues regarding treatment adherence in the public health service. In the first section, the authors focus their attention on demonstrating the validity of the variable they define as a system of self-management derived from self-knowledge. They then back up their conjectures with data that chronic and degenerative diseases imply adherence to treatment without mediation or regulators such as social and family support. This is why the disease is prolonged and culminates in the implementation of prevention and risk control strategies.
