Zoonotic diseases are of great concern for the public health as these diseases can transmit from animals to human and can lead to variable rate of morbidity and mortality. Small ruminant like goat plays an important role in the spread of many of these diseases including the emerging and re-emerging diseases. The present monograph gives an insight of these economically important diseases which can lead to detorioration in animal as well as human health, the different diagnostic, prevention and control policies that have to be adopted at the phase of outbreak of these diseases with an aim of socio-economic benefit.
