Garki Hospital Abuja is the pioneer healthcare facility to adopt the PPP concession model in Nigeria. This book is intended as a source of the well-needed information for all stakeholders in government and nongovernmental organizations, private sector, civil society, national and international policy agencies and academia. It presents an overview from global to local perspectives of the PPP framework in healthcare service delivery and takes the reader through the life of a PPP in the healthcare sector that worked in Nigeria. This book aims to build knowledge from experience and thus provides the step-by-step framework and stages of development to a successful establishment and management of a purely public venture to a collaborative PPP venture at a time when the Nigeria healthcare sector is undergoing an excruciating turbulence. It highlights the challenges that private investors are likely to face and explains the strategies and options to address them. To ensure that a sound PPP venture is implemented and benefits for both partners-public and private-are fully realised, this book presents the key performance indicators that enables a thorough assessment of the progress.
