This book is based on literature in the sense that a short story is a tool for teaching/learning French as a foreign language (FLE). The short story is didactized to generate a wide range of exercises and activities aimed at the development of the four skills recognized in the teaching/learning of foreign languages: oral comprehension and expression/production, written comprehension and expression/production. In the book, learners are also introduced to literary analysis. Thus, the book constitutes a rather courageous attempt to integrate literature in the FLE classroom.
