This book examines the factors that pull health professionals from and factors that push them to rural areas of Ghana. The book relied on data gathered from a field survey conducted in Mpohor Wassa East District in Ghana. The data was collected through personal interview with the help of a structured questionnaire. Binary Logit regressions were estimated to asses the impact of financial, staff accommodation, working conditions, professional advancement and socio-economic infrastructures on willingness of health professionals to remain in rural health post in Ghana and the characteristics of health professionals who would opt for these factors.The recommendations made in this work were based on findings emanated from the survey.
