Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Punggol Temporary Bus Interchange is a temporary bus interchange in Punggol New Town, located adjacent to the Punggol MRT/LRT Station. It was built to allow for easy dismantling when the site is redeveloped as part of a major commercial development when Punggol New Town is more developed. The S$1.9-million temporary Punggol Bus Interchange, which took 10 months to construct, was opened on 30 November 2003 by Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC Teo Chee Hean. Initially, the only service to serve Punggol New Town, service 83, terminated and looped at a temporary bus stop directly underneath Punggol MRT/LRT Station. The route was amended to terminate at the temporary bus interchange when the latter was opened. With the opening of the interchange, Punggol Road End Bus Terminal closed. The terminal''s only bus route, SBS Transit''s service 82, was re-routed with the opening of the North East MRT Line.
