In any society there is usually consensus about what behavoiur will be reacted to favourably, neutrally or unfavorably. In a school setting, some behavoiur is rewarded, some ignored and some results into official punishment. Student indiscipline is one of those behavoiurs that attract punishment as a means of promoting good discipline in Secondary Schools in Uganda. However, the use of punishment is not always successful in curbing student indiscipline. Consequently, some other strategies of promoting discipline in schools are clearly given in this book.
