Junko Mizuno is a self-taught artist recognized for her unique style of powerful and erotic female imagery. Her purpose in making art has always been pure pleasure, and she celebrates the power of women in her work. She enjoys creating a universe of strong women and female energy, no matter if the energy is negative or positive. Though her art refuses to be categorized, it is rooted in 1970's and '80s Japanese pop culture. Inspirations include fetish art, folk art, religious art, psychedelic art, pin-up art, advertising art, vintage toys, fashion, comic, food nature, movies, TV shows, video games and more.
