Porscha Jackson, is an adult educator, certified career coach, philanthropist, and author with a passion for "making people better". She has spent more than 10 years in the nonprofit sector educating, counseling, training, and developing adults for career advancement, community leadership, and scholastic achievement. Throughout her career, she has received awards for her work in the community and is highly recognized and respected for her professionalism, project management accomplishments, and presentations on career-related issues and personnel development. During her doctoral candidacy in human resource development, she developed an interest in the familial influence on careers and has since become a field expert in the research of career legacies and its parallelism to workforce development. Recently, Dr. PJ, as she is affectionately referred to because of her personable approach, has started her own consultancy specializing in career development services. Additionally, she is actively involved in various community and professional organizations centered on human resource development, adult learning, and urban education. She also enjoys advocating for Successful Shoes, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization she founded to provide encouragement through shoe donations and career development services to women in transitional programs and homes.
