What is life's purpose? Or, more importantly, what is my purpose? Jesus emphasized, "Don't worry about what you're going to eat, drink, or wear! Isn't the purpose of life more important than these things?" (Matthew 6:25) But, what is that purpose? The answer is framed by what I describe as God's metanarrative that flows like a constant, thematic stream throughout God's Word: "God desired to have many sons (non-gender), who would look like Jesus and reign with Him for eternity." Life's purpose revolves around this "character" construction project by the chief architect on behalf of His Father-to become the person God destined us to be. Jesus provides a blueprint of how we can arrive at that eternal destiny in our pursuit of sonship with the Father!
