The author's wife, a brilliant nuclear engineer at the Indian Point nuclear power plant near New York City, passed away after an 11-year struggle with Parkinson's. Hence the author branched into puzzle books. The author has M.A. in Physics and M.PHIL. in Computer Science degrees from Columbia University in New York City.
