Qi Men Dun Jia 奇門遁甲is an ancient revered form of divination from China. It is use in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, the Chinese diaspora in Southeast Asia. However, it have gain popularity in the West, especially the United States. It is one of the Three Styles (三式; sānshì; 'three styles') of Chinese divination, with Da Liu Ren and Tai Yi Shen Shu). Qi Men Dun Jia is based on astronomical observations, and consists of various aspects of Chinese metaphysics, including the doctrines of Yin and Yang, Five Elements, the Bagua (eight trigrams), the ten Heavenly Stems and the twelve Earthly Branches, as well as the twenty-four solar terms. The study of Qi Men Dun Jia can be divided into four parts, namely: (1) The Basic foundation 基礎篇 The study Qi Men Dun Jia symbolic representations (2) Imaging foundation 象義篇 Mental pictorial imaging representation of each stars (3) Chart plotting 起盤篇 Steps in plotting the chart. (4) Decoding 解盤篇 Decoding and interpreting various stars, gods, gates and structures.
