Qingdao University located in Qingdao, China was founded in 1901 and is the second national university established in the country, created soon after Jingshi University (the Metropolitan University). It was reorganized in 1993 by combining the former Qingdao University with Shandong Textile Engineering Institute, Qingdao Medical College, and Qingdao Teachers' College. Qingdao University consists of 26 schools/colleges and a graduate school.
