Ajay L. Desai hat einen Abschluss in Chemie (St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad) und ein Postgraduiertenstudium in organischer Chemie (Goldmedaillengewinner, Ganpat University, Mehsana). Herr Desai arbeitet derzeit als Forschungsstipendiat an der Ganpat-Universität. Sein Forschungsgebiet ist die organische und analytische Chemie, fluoreszierende Sensoren, Supramoleküle und Nanomaterialien.
