It is necessary to analyse food products before and after processing, to know the quality of raw materials and final products. The ability to recognize defining characteristics for identification is desirable as fraudulent mis-labelling of rice grain variables in a growing problem. With increased expectation for food products of high quality and from safety standards, Machine vision is a rapid, economic, consistent and objective inspection technique which has expanded into many diverse industries.
