Adverse effect can also happen by the presence of toxic adulterants in herbs. It is important to establish characteristics of plant and phyto constituents profile for their use in herbal formulations. The establishment of perfect quality control profiles of herbal medicines based on physical, chemical and biological evaluation, backed with their stability and bioavailability parameters are need to ensure the acceptance of phyto pharmaceuticals as an integral part of modern drug therapy. Batch to batch variation of herbal product can be minimized by applying this analytical method. HPTLC, UV methods will provide qualitative and quantitative information about the main active constituents present in the crude drug. By this project safe and effective standardized herbal product will be available that could satisfy the needs of International Regulatory Authorities.
