Oral cancer is a significant public health issue that impacts millions of individuals globally each year. The most important outcome for oral cancer patients is survival. However, the disease and its treatment often have a major impact on quality of life and functional status in patients with oral cancer. Quality of Life (QoL), Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) and Oral Health-Related Quality of Life (OHRQoL) are critical concepts in understanding the overall well-being of individuals diagnosed with oral cancer. For oral cancer patients, QoL assessments have become increasingly important in evaluating the broader consequences of the disease, particularly in relation to HRQoL and OHRQoL.
