Her loved ones are missing, injured, or worse, her resources are stretched to their breaking point, and she is about to lead her troops back into the catacombs to face the Sons of Celos--a dangerous group set on tearing the Queendom apart. Ascending the throne . . . Stranded in the Lower Realm, Connor begins to notice further signs of a sinister plot, one designed to ensnare the minds of the citizens and turn their hearts away from their Queen, making him all the more desperate to return to his Queen's side. A war too late . . . From within the bowels of the Queendom, Celos's forces of darkness are gathering. Racing against a clock that had started ticking long before either Jacs or Connor realized, they must uncover Celos's plan and stop him before the Queendom comes crashing down around them.
