It's curated in a relationship-centered way that also incites intergenerational healing and connection, building a lasting legacy for future generations. Meaningful Prompts for Mothers to Share With questions crafted to both document family history and inspire meaningful reflections for Mom, such as: "What words come to mind when you think of your grandparents?" "How do you define success?" "If you could choose your last words to me, what would they be?" With carefully and intentionally designed prompts, this journal becomes more than a book-it's a tool of connection, meaning-making, and is helpful even when relationships between adult children and their parents are complex. With a wide variety of questions and ample writing space for each prompt, Mom can share her full story with ease - going as emotionally deep or staying as light-hearted as she desires. Available in both hardcover and softcover formats, this journal is beautifully designed to become a keepsake passed down for generations. It offers an easy window to connection and meaning for mothers and sons of all ages and stages. A Gift of Handwritten Stories and Meaningful Conversations Whether Mom fills out the journal herself, giving the unique gift of a handwritten keepsake, someone asks her the questions and transcribes her answers, or it's used to start deep, meaningful family conversations around the dinner table, the journal will always be a gateway to sharing stories, laughter, and memories. Autorenporträt
The "Questions You'll Wish You Asked" journaling book series was born after a period of grief and loss for author Melissa Pennel. In the span of only a few years, Melissa lost her grandparents, unexpectedly lost her mother, and saw her only remaining elder succumb to dementia. She was left with so many questions about life, her family's past, and the deeper selves of her loved ones. As she navigated grief in the following years, she turned to a long-time tool of reflection, self-understanding, and healing: writing. After later getting a degree in psychology and being trained as a coach, Melissa realized the power of asking important questions, both of ourselves and loved ones. She began noting all the questions she wish she'd asked her family, and all the answers she wanted to leave for her own daughters. Melissa has found journaling a means to understand ourselves, deepen relationships, and meet each other in the messy imperfection of human relationships. As Rumi said, "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there." Let these journals be your field. To find more of Melissa's work on how to live a full and authentic life, go to FollowYourFireCoaching.com.
