Quinazolines And Its Derivatives In this book, number of quinazoline derivatives at different positions are reported and discussed. Chapter I consists of introduction of Heterocyclic compounds along with their, Physical properties and applications in various fields. while Chapter II, embodied the review of the literature on C2, N3, C4-quinazolines and their pharmacological applications with references to the methods of synthesis. Chapters III to V describes the details of experimental work, physical and analytical characterization data, spectral interpretation of C2-thiosubstituted quinazolinones, hydrazone, new oxime, oxime carbamate, thio-pyrimidino, hydrazine, triazolo, tetracyclic, pyranopyrazolone, thiocarbamate, N-dimethyl aminomethylene hydrazono, triazino, pyranopyrazolo, cyanohydrazine, carbamyl, Schiffs base. Structures of the synthesized compounds have been established on the basis of IR, NMR and Mass spectral and elemental data. At the end of each part of the chapter, the details of antimicrobial testing results have been incorporated. The synthesized compounds have been tested for antimicrobial activity against gram +ve and gram -ve bacteria and antifungal activity
