Barbara is a retired teacher who writes stories that are fun as well as educational. She's been a desert dweller in Phoenix, Arizona for over 40 years and enjoys being outdoors gardening, walking her dog, and enjoying the sun. Barbara's love of nature inspired her to write a series of informational fiction picture books about a Quail named Quincy. Her love of travel sparked her interest in writing about Trumpeter Swans and a Juvenile Loon named Lonnie. Barbara loves to visit elementary school classrooms to read her books and interact with the children. Barbara has been blessed with two children who live close enough to come over for dinner and celebrate holidays together.
