According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 24.1 square miles (62.4 km²), of which, 22.0 square miles (57.0 km²) of it is land and 2.1 square miles (5.5 km²) of it (8.75%) is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 348 people, 121 households, and 102 families residing in the township. The population density was 15.8 people per square mile (6.1/km²). There were 167 housing units at an average density of 7.6/sq mi (2.9/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 99.71% White, and 0.29% from two or more races.
